What file sizes are supported?
We support PDFs up to 100MB in size. Most documents process within seconds, even with hundreds of pages.
Are my files secure?
Absolutely. Files are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your documents never leave your device and are never uploaded to any server.
What paper sizes can be detected?
We detect all standard paper sizes: Letter (8.5×11"), Legal (8.5×14"), Ledger/Tabloid (11×17"), A4, A3, Executive (7.25×10.5"), and Statement (5.5×8.5"). Custom sizes are also supported.
How does page size detection work?
PDF pages have defined dimensions in points (1/72 inch). We compare these dimensions to standard paper sizes with a small tolerance to account for printer margins and scaling.
Do I need to install anything?
No! TraySort is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that runs entirely in your browser. No downloads or installations required.
Can I use this offline?
Yes! Once you've visited TraySort once, it caches for offline use. You can sort PDFs without an internet connection.
What happens to my original PDF?
Your original PDF is never modified. We create new PDF files containing only the pages of each size, which you can download separately.
How do credits work?
One credit = one PDF processed. You can buy credit packs that never expire. The free tier lets you process 3 PDFs to try the service.
